HYDERABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th Jun, 2026) On commemoration of World Environment Day 2026, the Sindh Environmental Protection Agency (SEPA) Tando Muhammad Khan in collaboration with People's Primary Health Initiative (PPHI) Tando Mohammad Khan along with Innovative Leadership Management Council Pakistan, Sindh Forest Department, Social Welfare Department successfully organized a pivotal awareness program at the People's Primary Health Initiative Hall. The event witnessed robust participation from government officials and the general public, underscoring a collective commitment to environmental stewardship.

The program commenced with a welcome address by Tufail Ahmed Abbasi, Assistant Director (Law)/Incharge of SEPA Tando Muhammad Khan, who emphasized the importance of grassroots awareness in tackling environmental degradation. He lauded the diverse turnout and reaffirmed SEPA’s dedication to enforcing environmental laws for a sustainable future.

Noor Ahmed Nahyoon of the Sindh EPA Regional Office Hyderabad delivered a detailed presentation on pressing climate change issues and their actionable solutions. He extensively covered the provisions of the Sindh Environmental Protection Act-2014 and the rules and regulations framed thereunder, educating attendees on Technical and legal frameworks designed to safeguard natural resources.

Shahnawz Baloch of SEPA addressed local environmental concerns, highlighting practical measures for pollution control and conservation.

Naeem Akhtar Soomro of Sindh Social Welfare Department, Syed Ghulam Hussain Shah of Forest Department, Iqra Kanwal Qureshi of Innovative Leadership Management Council Pakistan shared their views in this awareness program.

This awareness drive reflects SEPA’s ongoing commitment to building an environmentally resilient Sindh through public participation and legal awareness.
