MULTAN, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 6th May, 2026) “Marka-e-Haq” stands as a defining moment in Pakistan’s military history, commemorating May 10, 2025, when the country’s armed forces delivered a decisive response to Indian aggression.

“Operation Bunyanum Marsoos” will continue to serve as a model in modern warfare and defence strategy, said former provincial minister and MPA Naeem Akhtar Khan Bhabha on Wednesday.

In an interview with APP, Bhabha stated that “Marka-e-Haq” represents not only a military and political achievement but also a powerful symbol of national resolve, courage, and unity.

He said Pakistan responded effectively to Indian aggression, defending every inch of its territory with remarkable professionalism and determination.

Bhabha recalled that India had accused Pakistan of involvement in the Pahalgam incident without presenting any evidence and used these allegations as a pretext for launching an unprovoked attack. He described the accusations as false and politically motivated. He added that Pakistan’s armed forces, under the leadership of Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, defended the country with bravery and professionalism.

He further stated that Pakistan successfully shot down Indian fighter jets, while the “Shaheens” of the Pakistan Air Force, led by Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, delivered a decisive response that shattered India’s aggression.

Bhabha remarked that Pakistan’s success in “Marka-e-Haq” remains a source of national pride and continues to be remembered with dignity and honour.

“The completion of one year since the victory has filled the nation with renewed enthusiasm and confidence,” he added.

The former minister said that the military successes achieved during the 2025 Pakistan-India conflict were acknowledged internationally and demonstrated Pakistan’s strength not only in defence but also on the diplomatic front.

He praised the leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for pursuing a balanced and proactive foreign policy amid evolving regional and global dynamics. He noted that Pakistan has recently acted as a responsible and effective mediator at the international level, citing key negotiations held in Islamabad aimed at reducing tensions.

He maintained that Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts have strengthened its global image while contributing positively to regional peace and stability. According to him, the country’s foreign policy reflects balance, sovereignty, and the protection of national interests.

He urged the nation to promote unity, hard work, and cohesion to effectively address challenges and further strengthen Pakistan’s position globally.

Referring to the Kashmir dispute, he said India cannot suppress the indigenous struggle in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir. He reiterated that the Kashmiri people should be granted their right to self-determination in accordance with United Nations resolutions, adding that a peaceful resolution of the Kashmir issue is essential for lasting peace in South Asia.
