ABBOTTABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th Jun, 2026) A joint inspection of stone crushing plants in the Dotar Dhamtore area has led to recommendations for legal action against several units over serious environmental and administrative violations.
Assistant Commissioner Abbottabad Afrasiab Zubair Hindal conducted the inspection along with officials from the Environment Protection Agency (EPA), Industries Department, and other relevant departments.
During the inspection, multiple violations were identified, including illegal blasting, dumping of mining waste into waterways, inadequate waste management systems, poor dust control measures, and hazardous blasting activities near residential areas. Officials noted that these practices are not only contributing to environmental degradation but also posing significant risks to public safety and property.
<?php /*?> <?php */?>Following the findings, the concerned authorities have recommended strict legal action against the violators, immediate cessation of illegal blasting, and the installation of proper waste disposal and dust control systems. It was further directed that all crushing plants must obtain mandatory licenses and approvals before continuing operations, failing which they will be sealed.
In addition, a comprehensive safety audit of all such facilities has been proposed to prevent any potential accidents in the future. The district administration has reiterated that action against environmental law violations will continue without any discrimination.
