ICT Police shares Eid joys with families of martyrs

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th May, 2026) Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police officers distributed Eid gifts among families and children of police martyrs and expressed solidarity with them on the special directions of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi ahead of Eid-ul-Adha.

An official told APP on Sunday that police officers visited the homes of various martyrs, met their families and paid tribute to their sacrifices rendered for peace and protection of citizens.

During the visits, officers held special interactions with the families and children of martyrs and distributed Eid gifts among them to share the joys of Eid-ul-Adha.

Police officers also conveyed good wishes and assured the families that Islamabad Police stood firmly with them at every stage.

On the occasion, officers said police martyrs were the pride of the nation who sacrificed their lives for maintaining peace, protecting citizens and upholding the rule of law.

They said the sacrifices of martyrs would always be remembered with respect and honor.

Islamabad Police had always given top priority to the welfare, dignity and support of martyrs’ families, while sharing Eid happiness with their children reflected the force’s commitment towards them.

IGP Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi said martyrs were the real heroes of the nation and serving their families was a collective responsibility of Islamabad Police.

He said lasting peace in society had been made possible because of the unmatched sacrifices rendered by police martyrs, adding that the entire nation saluted these brave sons of the soil.
