IGP Islamabad reviews cattle markets, checkposts security ahead of Eid

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 26th May, 2026) Inspector General of Police (IGP) Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi visited different areas of the Federal capital to review security arrangements at cattle markets and police checkposts ahead of Eid-ul-Adha.

An official told APP on Tuesday that the IGP inspected security measures at various cattle markets and directed officers to ensure effective security for traders and buyers visiting the markets.

The official said Islamabad Police had also established special help desks at all cattle markets to facilitate citizens and provide immediate assistance when required.

During the visit, Rizvi met police personnel deployed at checkposts and appreciated their dedication and professional commitment while performing duties during Eid days.

He said providing effective security to citizens was the foremost responsibility of Islamabad Police and serving the public during Eid was their real celebration.

The IGP Rizvi told officers that they were a source of pride for the force as they were sacrificing their Eid and performing duties in harsh weather conditions for protection of citizens.

The IGP said every officer of Islamabad Police, including senior command, was present in the field alongside jawans to ensure peaceful Eid arrangements across the capital.

Rizvi urged citizens to cooperate with police personnel during checking and security arrangements for collective safety and public convenience.
