Ex-servicemen society reaffirms support for armed forces leadership

RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 27th Feb, 2026) The Pakistan Ex-Servicemen Society (PESS) on Friday announced its complete support for the Field Marshal, the armed forces and all national institutions, reiterating solidarity amid the prevailing security situation.

In a statement issued from his office, Chief Organiser Aziz Ahmed Awan said it was a matter of pride that the Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir had always left no stone unturned in defending the country, upholding the dignity of the people and safeguarding every part of Pakistan.

The society also paid tribute to the Pakistan Air Force for what it described as its exemplary services in defending the country and utilizing its full capabilities for national security.

PESS declared that it fully endorsed all decisions taken by Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir and stood shoulder to shoulder with the military leadership.

It said more than four million members of the society would remain steadfast alongside their leader at all times.

The statement said officers and soldiers of every rank were ready to make any sacrifice for the defence of the country. It expressed confidence that Pakistan would emerge as a cradle of peace and stability and earn greater respect at the global level.

PESS praised the recent action in Afghanistan, stating that the raising of the Pakistani flag upheld national honour and dignity. It said Pakistanis at home and overseas took pride in the country’s military leadership and believed that under its stewardship, no threat to the homeland could succeed.
