Chairman Senate Finance committee presents budget 2026-27 recommendations report

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th Jun, 2026) Chairman, Standing Committee on Finance and Revenue, Senator Saleem Mandviwalla on Thursday presented the report of the committee on the proposals for making recommendations on the Finance Bill, 2026, containing the annual budget statement in the Senate.

Chairman, Standing Committee on Finance and Revenue, Senator Saleem Mandviwallah also presented the annual report of the committee for the year 2025-2026.

Chairman, Standing Committee on Finance and Revenue, Senator Saleem Mandviwalla presented another report of the committee on a bill further to amend the Federal board of Revenue Act, 2007 [The Federal Board of Revenue (Amendment) Bill, 2026].

The house also adopted motion moved by Chairperson, Standing Committee on Federal education and Professional Training, Senator Bushra Anjum Butt under sub-rule (1) of Rule 194 of the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of business in the Senate, 2012, that the time for presentation of report of the Committee on a Bill to provide for the establishment of the City University Islamabad [The City University Islamabad Bill, 2026], introduced by Senator Nadeem Ahmed Bhutto on 10th February, 2026, may be extended for a period of sixty days with effect from 10th June, 2026.

The house adopted another motion moved by Senator Afnan Ullah Khan on behalf of Chairperson, Standing Committee on Information Technology and Telecommunication, Senator Palwasha Mohammed Zai Khan under sub-rule (1) of Rule 194 of the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in the Senate, 2012, that the time for presentation of report of the Committee on a Bill further to amend the Pakistan Telecommunication (Re-organization) Act, 1996 [The Pakistan Telecommunication (Re-organization) (Amendment) Bill, 2026], referred to the Standing Committee on 15 th June, 2026, may be extended for a period of forty-five days with effect from 18 th June, 2026.

The Senate adopted the motion moved by Chairman, Standing Committee on Interior and Narcotics Control, Senator Faisal Saleem Rehman under sub-rule (1) of Rule 194 of the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in the Senate, 2012, that the time for presentation of report of the Committee on the Islamabad Capital Territory Watersides Safety Bill, 2024, introduced by Senator Shahadat Awan on 1 st January, 2024, may be extended for a period of sixty days with effect from 11th June, 2026.
