Two brothers shot dead over minor dispute in Gujar Khan

RAWALPINDI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th May, 2026) Two brothers were shot dead in Gujar Khan over an alleged dispute related to a traffic accident case, prompting City Police Officer (CPO) Syed Khalid Mehmood Hamdani to take notice of the incident and seek a report from the SP Saddar.

According to police, the deceased were identified as Mehboob and Mahmood.

Senior police officials, including the SSP Operations, ASP Gujar Khan, and Gujar Khan Police, rushed to the crime scene soon after the incident was reported.

Initial investigations suggest that the suspect opened fire on the two brothers due to a grudge linked to the registration of a traffic accident case. Police teams are collecting evidence from the scene, while further investigations are underway.

A police spokesperson said that the suspect involved in the double murder would be arrested and brought to justice.
