SSPs Qazi, Suleman Zafar brief officers at central Muharram procession entry points

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th Jun, 2026) Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Operations Qazi Ali Raza and Senior Superintendent of Police Security/Operations, Suleman Zafar on Thursday visited various entry points of the central 9th Muharram procession in the capital and briefed police officers on security responsibilities.

An official told APP that the senior officers inspected security arrangements at different entry points and reviewed deployment of police personnel to ensure smooth and secure conduct of the central procession.

Officers issued necessary instructions to personnel regarding access control, security checks, crowd management and vigilance throughout the procession.

According to the official, the deployed officers were directed to remain alert, perform their duties with professionalism and ensure strict implementation of the security plan.

The official said special emphasis was placed on effective coordination among field formations and maintaining uninterrupted monitoring of the procession and its designated entry points.

Islamabad Police remained fully committed to ensuring foolproof security and maintaining peace and order during Muharram-ul-Haram, the official added.
