District admin made foolproof security arrangements in Larkana: Soomro

LARKANA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 26th Jun, 2026) Member of Provincial Assembly MPA Jameel Soomro said Religious harmony is exceptionally high in Larkana as well as throughout Sindh.

He was speaking to media after reviewing the arrangements for the central Ashura procession in Larkana on Friday.

He stated that the distribution of Niaz (ritual food) by the Hindu community at the Dharmashala in Larkana every year on the 9th of Muharram is a living testament to religious harmony.

Jameel Soomro added that people of various religions and sects celebrate each other's festivals here, which is a welcome and commendable step.He said that the district administration has made foolproof security arrangements in Larkana.

Soomro further mentioned that he, along with district officers, is continuously visiting every Imambargah.

He noted that the central procession departs from Imambargah Jarl Shah, and all smaller and larger processions merge into it.

Jameel Soomro shared that he personally participates in the prayers every year on the occasion of the central procession leaving from Imambargah Jarl Shah.

He said that the Municipal Corporation, Town Chairmen, and other local bodies have made complete arrangements for lighting, water supply, and cleanliness.

According to Soomro, the administrators of all Imambargahs are praising the arrangements being made by the district officers and local bodies.

He emphasized that the incident of Karbala teaches a lesson of patience and perseverance, and added that it is our duty to follow the path of Imam Hussain.
