MUZAFFARGARH, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th May, 2026) In line with the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the district government
has launched a special initiative to facilitate international tourists visiting the district.
According to a spokesperson for the district administration, the initiative offers foreign tourists
free accommodation, quality food and comfortable transportation facilities during their stay
in Punjab.
Under the programme, the first formal group of foreign tourists arrived in Muzaffargarh,
where senior district administration officials welcomed them warmly in accordance with
traditional hospitality.
During the first phase of visit, the tourists were taken to various historical, cultural and
recreational sites under strict security arrangements and official protocol. The visitors
expressed keen interest in Punjab’s historic architecture, cultural heritage and local traditions.
The spokesperson said the tourists appreciated the foolproof security and VIP travel
arrangements provided by the district administration.

as a peaceful and beautiful country and thanked the Punjab chief minister and district
government for their hospitality.
“We received immense love, respect and hospitality here, which is unforgettable. The
arrangements for free accommodation, transport and quality food made our journey smooth
and memorable,” the tourists said, adding that they would share their positive experiences
and highlight Pakistan as a safe, peaceful and attractive destination for tourism.
The district administration spokesperson said the initiative aims to transform Punjab
into a hub of international tourism and strengthen the province’s global image.
He added that tourist groups from more countries were expected to visit Punjab in the
coming days and would be provided similar facilities free of cost as guests of the district
government to help boost the tourism sector.
