Pick-up drive hit to death by speeding vehicle

BAHAWALPUR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th May, 2026) The driver of a pick-up van lost his life when a speeding luxury car hit his vehicle on highway in Chowk Azam in the district.

According to Rescue-1122 officials, eyewitnesses stated that a Suzuki pickup van was traveling from Bahawalpur toward Ahmadpur when, while making a U-turn, it was hit by a Toyota Fortuner vehicle coming from behind.

“As a result, the pickup van driver sustained a head injury and died at the scene,” they said. The rescue staff shifted the body to Bahawal Victoria Hospital. Meanwhile, the Fortuner vehicle was taken into custody by the motorway police. Further probe was in process.
