Rickshaw driver dies in accident

BAHAWALPUR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th May, 2026) A rickshaw drive lost his life when his loader rickshaw struck against a parked tractor-trolley on roadside in Hasilpur tehsil of the district.

According to Punjab Emergency Service (Rescue 1122), a tractor trolley was parked on the roadside near Katarian Check-post, Chishtian Road, tehsil Hasilpur due to a tire burst.

“A loader rickshaw failed to notice the tractor trolley from behind and collided with it,” they said, adding that as a result, the driver died on-the-spot. Rescue staff reached the scene and shifted the body to a hospital. The local police have been investigating the incident.
