Son shots father dead over domestic dispute in Wanda Umar Khan

DERA ISMAIL KHAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 27th Feb, 2026) A man was shot dead by his son following a domestic dispute in the limits of Shaheed Nawab Khan Police Station, police said on Friday.

The incident occurred in the area of Wanda Umar Khan, where an argument reportedly broke out over money. According to initial reports, the father had refused to give cash to his son and scolded him, which led to a heated exchange.

In a fit of anger, the accused, identified as Gul Saleem Marwat son of Shafiullah, allegedly opened fire on his 55-year-old father Shafiullah Marwat son of Abbas Khan, inside their home. The victim sustained critical injuries and was immediately shifted to hospital but succumbed to his wounds on the way.

The police registered a case against the accused on the complaint of the deceased’s wife, Shouda Bibi, and have initiated further investigation into the matter.
