Secretary health inspects healthcare facilities

GUJRAT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 3rd Jul, 2026) Secretary Health Punjab Azmat Mahmood visited Aziz Bhatti Teaching Hospital to review healthcare facilities and inspect patient care arrangements.

According to official sources, the secretary, accompanied by Monitoring Director Ateeq-ur-Rehman, inspected the emergency ward and other departments, visited patients and inquired about the quality of healthcare services being provided.

The medical superintendent briefed the secretary on the hospital's healthcare facilities and administrative affairs during the visit.

Speaking on the occasion, Azmat Mahmood said the Punjab government was committed to providing quality and timely healthcare services at public hospitals to ensure better treatment for patients.

He said a new MRI machine was being procured for Aziz Bhatti Teaching Hospital, adding that improving healthcare facilities and enhancing patient convenience remained among the provincial government's top priorities.
