ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 26th May, 2026) Saudi transport minister Saleh Al-Jasser conducted a field inspection tour of transport facilities and operational centers in the holy sites to review readiness arrangements and transport services being provided to pilgrims during Hajj 1447 AH.
According to Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the minister began his tour at the seasonal operations center of the Roads General Authority, where he reviewed intelligent transport systems and real-time monitoring technologies aimed at improving traffic safety and facilitating smooth pilgrim movement during Hajj.
The report said Al-Jasser also visited the Operations and Control Center of Saudi Arabia Railways (SAR) to assess the operational readiness of the Holy Sites Train and crowd-management plans.
<?php /*?> <?php */?>SPA told APP that the minister later inspected the control room at the general transport center of the Royal Commission for Makkah City and Holy Sites, where he reviewed digital monitoring systems used to regulate transport movement in the holy sites.
The tour concluded with a visit to the Hajj Security Command and Control Center of the Ministry of Interior to discuss coordination and integration between transport and security sectors during the Hajj season.
