ICT Police conduct flag march across capital ahead of Eid-ul-Azha

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 26th May, 2026) Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police conducted a flag march in different areas of the Federal capital under the supervision of senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Operations Qazi Ali Raza to ensure effective security arrangements ahead of Eid-ul-Azha.

An official told APP on Tuesday that SSP Security Suleman Zafar, ADCG Sahibzada Yousaf and other senior officers also participated in the flag march.

The official said the flag march was conducted on the special directions of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi as part of foolproof security arrangements for Eid nights and Eid-ul-Azha.

According to the official, the flag march started from sports Complex and passed through different areas of the city before concluding at its designated point.

SSP Qazi said the purpose of the flag march was to promote a sense of security and confidence among citizens.

He said Islamabad Police remained fully active in the field to ensure protection of citizens’ lives and property during Eid days.

The SSP said effective and coordinated security measures had been enforced throughout the federal capital to maintain law and order and facilitate citizens during Eid-ul-Azha.
