Saudi Interior Ministry showcases AI, ‘No Hajj Without Permit’ campaign at media hub

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th May, 2026) Ministry of Interior concluded its participation in the third Hajj Media Hub exhibition after showcasing advanced artificial intelligence systems, crowd-management technologies and security operations supporting the Hajj 1447 AH season.

According to Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the Hajj Media Hub was organized by the Ministry of Media from May 20 to 23 to promote awareness regarding compliance with Hajj regulations and instructions.

The report said the Interior Ministry pavilion highlighted modern AI applications used in crowd management and reviewed the ministry’s extensive efforts to ensure the safety and security of pilgrims visiting the Two Holy Mosques.

Authorities also showcased the Makkah Route Initiative, which is being implemented for the ninth consecutive year through 17 entry points across 10 countries during this Hajj season.

SPA told APP that the exhibition additionally focused on the role of security agencies in the “No Hajj Without a Permit” campaign and explained penalties against individuals violating Hajj regulations, including unauthorized pilgrims and transporters of violators.

Visitors were also introduced to services provided through the unified security operations centers (911), which receive emergency security and humanitarian reports across the Kingdom during Hajj.

The report added that the ministry’s participation aimed to highlight Saudi Arabia’s use of advanced technologies and integrated security systems to ensure organized and safe Hajj operations.
