Former employee and owner’s friend arrested in Rawalpindi burglary case

RAWALPINDI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 26th May, 2026) Police have solved a recent burglary and theft case in the jurisdiction of New Town Police Station following arrest of two suspects including a former employee and a friend of the shop owner here on Tuesday.

According to police, the accused were involved in stealing Rs. 2 million from a commercial outlet after preparing a duplicate key to gain unauthorized access to the premises.

The suspects allegedly executed the theft during the night hours before fleeing the scene.

Police said the case was traced using technical and human intelligence resources, leading to the arrest of both suspects.

During interrogation, the accused confessed to the crime and led investigators to the recovery of the stolen cash.

SP Rawal Saad Arshad said the suspects would be challaned in court with solid evidence.

A police spokesperson confirmed that further legal proceedings have been initiated against the arrested individuals.
