Rubina Khalid strongly condemns Quetta suicide blast

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th May, 2026) Chairperson of the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP), Senator Rubina Khalid, strongly condemned the suicide blast at the Quetta-Chaman railway crossing on Sunday, terming the targeting of innocent civilians an inhumane and cowardly act.

Expressing deep sorrow and grief over the loss of 30 precious lives in the tragic incident, she prayed for the elevation of the ranks of the martyrs and for patience and strength for the bereaved families.

Senator Rubina Khalid also prayed for the speedy recovery of those injured, saying that the entire nation stood in solidarity with the affected families in this difficult time.

She said that enemies of peace wanted to spread fear and undermine national unity, but the nation would foil such conspiracies with collective resolve.

The BISP chairperson said the sacrifices of the martyrs would not go in vain and reiterated that the national resolve against terrorism had become stronger than ever.

She added that such cowardly attacks could not weaken the morale of the Pakistani people, as the entire nation remained united against terrorism.

Senator Rubina Khalid said the government and state institutions stood firmly with the affected families during this difficult hour.
