RTA establishes complaint cell at Dera bus stand ahead of Eid-ul-Azha

On the directives of Commissioner Dera Division Daud Khan, Secretary Regional Transport Authority (RTA) Shaukat Iqbal has established a special complaint cell at the General Bus Stand in Dera Ismail Khan to ensure better travel facilities for passengers during Eid-ul-Azha

Dera Ismail Khan, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd May, 2026) On the directives of Commissioner Dera Division Daud Khan, Secretary Regional Transport Authority (RTA) Shaukat Iqbal has established a special complaint cell at the General Bus Stand in Dera Ismail Khan to ensure better travel facilities for passengers during Eid-ul-Azha.

According to the RTA administration, the complaint cell has been set up to provide immediate redressal of passengers’ grievances on the spot and to facilitate smooth transportation arrangements during the Eid holidays.

Special cleanliness arrangements have also been made at the General Bus Stand and other transport terminals across the district.

Additional sanitation activities have been launched to improve cleanliness at waiting areas, washrooms, mosques and parking spaces in order to provide passengers with a clean and comfortable environment.

Meanwhile, RTA monitoring teams are actively conducting inspections of passenger vehicles at various bus terminals.

Actions are being taken against transporters involved in overcharging fares, carrying excessive passengers, overloading and other violations of transport regulations.

During the inspections, officials are also interacting directly with passengers to assess the quality of travel facilities and transport arrangements being provided during the Eid rush.

Secretary RTA Shaukat Iqbal appealed to the public to immediately report any complaints regarding overcharging, overcrowding or other transport-related issues at the complaint cell established inside the General Bus Stand or through the RTA Control Room at 0966-9280488 for prompt action.
