Punjab govt orders to check swings in all parks

LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th May, 2026) The Punjab government has directed the all deputy commissioners to check swings in all parks ahead of Eid and has ordered to close dangerous ones.

In addition, the Punjab government is preparing for Eid-ul-Adha, while special measures are being taken for cleanliness, security and civic amenities.

Punjab Information Minister Azma Bokhari has said that under the “Suthra Punjab” campaign, the leaves of all concerned officers have been canceled so that cleanliness arrangements can be continued effectively during Eid.

She said that 12 million waste bags are being distributed among the citizens. Foolproof security of mosques and imambargahs will be ensured on the occasion of Eid, while expatriates have started going to their native homes, due to which special attention is also being paid to transport and security plans.
