President commends CTD for successful operation against terrorists in Lakki Marwat

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 14th Mar, 2026) President Asif Ali Zardari, Saturday, commended the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) officers and personnel for the successful operation against Fitna-al-Khwarij in Shagai, District Lakki Marwat, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The president appreciated the bravery, professionalism, and timely action of the CTD team that eliminated six Khwariji terrorists during the operation, President's Secretariat Media Wing said in a press release.

He reiterated that the operations against the terrorists of Fitna-al-Khawarij, who are active with external support, were very significant for the peace in the country, adding that the state was confronting all the external and internal threats of terrorism with full force.

The president said any attempt to target Pakistan’s urban areas would not be tolerated under any circumstances.

He said Pakistan’s armed forces and security institutions were fully prepared and determined to defend the country and protect its people.

President Zardari further said that Pakistan would continue to take every possible step to protect its land and its citizens against threats of terrorism.
