MPA Faisal Ikram inaugurates new academic block in Sialkot school

SIALKOT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 5th May, 2026) Member of Provincial Assembly(MPA),Chaudhry Faisal Ikram on Tuesday inaugurated a newly constructed academic block at Govt Girls High School Talwara Mughlaan,completed with the support of the Surgical Instruments Manufacturers Association of Pakistan (SIMAP) and Mubashir Wahid Mirza.

A number of political,social and education sector representatives attended the ceremony,including PML-N Women Wing City President Nusrat Jamshed and CEO Education Muhammad Saeed Asghar.

Addressing the event,the MPA said provision of quality education was among the government’s top priorities, stressing that modern facilities were essential for improving learning outcomes.

He noted that the school had already been solarised and added that its first block was built through the efforts of his late father.

Faisal Ikram lauded the contribution of SIMAP and Mubashir Wahid Mirza, saying private sector support played a vital role in promoting education.

He also emphasized the importance of girls’ education, terming it an investment in the country’s future.

CEO Education Muhammad Saeed Asghar said the new block would enhance facilities and provide a better learning environment for students.

Headmistress Sarah Rehman termed the project a significant milestone for the institution.

The ceremony concluded with a tour of the newly constructed block.
