PPP committed to accelerating urban , rural development through practical initiatives: Imamuddin Shouqeen

SANGHAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th Jun, 2026) Former Senator of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and Chairman Popular Group of Industries, Malik Imamuddin Shouqeen, has said that the PPP is committed to accelerating development in both urban and rural areas through practical and result-oriented initiatives.

He made these remarks while speaking to the media after inaugurating the Bangla Road development project in Tando Adam on Tuesday night. The event marked part of the ongoing civic development programme aimed at improving local infrastructure.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by Chairman Municipal Committee Tando Adam Ghulaam Murtaza Junejo, Chief Municipal Officer Malik Abdul Hameed, municipal councillors, and other officials.

Speaking on the occasion, Shouqeen said that the reconstruction of Bangla Road was a long-standing demand of the local population. He added that the completion of the project would significantly improve transportation facilities and help boost commercial and economic activity in the area.

Chairman Municipal Committee Ghulaam Murtaza Junejo said that providing basic civic amenities and improving the aesthetic and functional condition of Tando Adam remained among the top priorities of the municipal administration. He added that despite limited resources, efforts were being made to improve sanitation, drainage systems, and street lighting across the city.

Other speakers highlighted that infrastructure projects such as road rehabilitation play a vital role in urban development and improving citizens’ quality of life. They noted that the completion of Bangla Road would help reduce traffic congestion and ensure safer and smoother travel for residents.

Residents of the area appreciated the initiative and lauded the efforts of the local administration and elected representatives for the timely completion of the project.
