Police Official booked in boy death case

BAHAWALPUR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 14th Mar, 2026) An FIR has been registered against a police official in a case of death of a boy in a road accident.

According to a spokesman for Bahawalpur police, District Police Officer Bahawalpur has taken notice of death of a nine-year-old boy in road accident in an area located within jurisdiction of PS Khairpur Tamewali.

He said that an incident of a 9-year-old boy’s death in a car accident occurred in Hasilpur. “The minor boy died after being hit by a vehicle driven by Sub-Inspector Rehan Nadeem,” he added.

He further said that a case had been registered against the Sub-Inspector at Khairpur Police Station, and departmental action has been initiated. “The law is equal for everyone; the incident will be investigated thoroughly and transparently,” he said, adding that strict action would be taken against those responsible in any accident that results in loss of life.
