Police arrest domestic workers involved in big house robbery in Morgah

RAWALPINDI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd May, 2026) Police have arrested two domestic workers involved in a house robbery that took place a few days ago and recovered stolen valuables worth approximately Rs15 million, including gold jewellery, foreign Currency, cash, luxury watches, and other valuables.

According to Police spokesperson, the accused committed the theft while the family was away from home and later fled the scene.

Using technical and human intelligence resources, Morgah Police successfully traced and arrested both accused.

The recovered items include six gold rings, six pairs of gold earrings, five gold bangles, gold necklaces, and bracelets.

Police also recovered 7,865 UAE Dirhams, 5,500 US Dollars, 355 British Pounds, and Rs4.8 million in cash, along with 11 expensive watches and other valuables.

City Police Officer (CPO) Syed Khalid Mahmood Hamdani appreciated the performance of SP Potohar, DSP Civil Lines, and the Morgah Police team for the arrest of the suspects and the complete recovery of stolen property.

The police spokesperson urged citizens to ensure registration of domestic workers through Khidmat Markaz, the relevant police station, or the Punjab Police App to avoid inconvenience and security risks.
