PNCA successfully conducts Copper Ring-Making workshop

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 14th May, 2026) The Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA) successfully organized a Copper Ring-Making Workshop in collaboration with Jhol Studio on Thursday.

The workshop was designed as an introductory, hands-on experience in handmade jewelry-making, engaging participants in the creative and technical processes of crafting rings using copper and brass. The initiative reflected PNCA's continued commitment to promoting craft-based learning, skill development, and public engagement with contemporary artistic practices.

The session was conducted by Bilal Sarwar and Laiba Khan, founders of Jhol Studio, whose studio practice focuses on handcrafted jewelry and material experimentation through copper and brass. The participants were introduced to essential ring-making techniques while exploring the relationship between material, design, and form.

Throughout the workshop, participants learned a variety of practical techniques including pattern ring creation, wire ring forming, texturing methods, and introductory annealing and metal shaping processes.

The guided demonstrations and structured exercises allowed participants to create their own handcrafted rings while gaining foundational knowledge of jewelry-making.
