PMD predicts wind, rain and hail in Punjab regions

LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th May, 2026) The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) on Sunday predicted wind, thunder and hail in various cities of the country, especially Lahore, and issued instructions to citizens, farmers and travelers to take precautionary measures.

According to the PMD, a new wave of westerly winds will enter the upper areas of the country from Sunday, due to which a change in the weather is expected. There is a possibility of rain in various cities including Lahore, while the intensity of heat is likely to continue in the plains of south Punjab and Balochistan.

According to the report, the sun was seen scattering dim rays early in the morning, while in afternoon, temperature reached 39 degree Celsius.

The wind speed was recorded at about 10 kilometers per hour, while the humidity in the air was reported to be 45 per cent.
