PM pays tribute to finance team for successful budget presentation

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th Jun, 2026) Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif Friday appreciated the efforts of his finance team for the successful preparation and presentation of the federal budget and said the preparation of a balanced, people-friendly and development-oriented budget in the current economic conditions was result of the tireless work, professional ability and mutual cooperation of the entire team.

In a statement, the Prime Minister especially paid tribute to the services of Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb, Minister for Planning Ahsan Iqbal, Minister for Economic Affairs Division Ahad Cheema, Minister of State for Finance Bilal Azhar Kayani, Advisor to the Prime Minister Syed Tauqeer Shah, Secretary Finance Imdadullah Bosal, Chairman Federal board of Revenue (FBR) Rashid Mahmood Langrial, officers and experts of the Ministry of Finance, FBR, Planning Division and related institutions.

He said that the economic team has formulated a budget while keeping the national interest in mind, and it will be helpful in achieving the goals of economic stability, fiscal discipline, promotion of investment and public welfare.

He expressed the hope that the entire economic team will continue its efforts for the economic development and prosperity of the country with the same spirit and determination.
