Petrol pumps inspected for price, stock compliance in Haripur ahead of Eid

HARIPUR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 14th Mar, 2026) The district administration conducted inspections of petrol pumps in Haripur and reviewed security arrangements in Ghazi Bazaar and along Indus Road as part of measures to ensure public facilitation and safety ahead of Eid.

Assistant Commissioner Haripur Muhammad Fasih Ishaq Abbasi inspected several petrol pumps where the stock of petrol, official price lists and fuel gauges were checked to ensure compliance with government regulations. During the inspection, the assistant commissioner directed petrol pump owners to ensure an uninterrupted supply of fuel to the public, refrain from selling petrol at higher than official prices and avoid hoarding.

Meanwhile, Assistant Commissioner Ghazi Junaid Aftab, along with the Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Ghazi, visited Ghazi Bazaar and Indus Road to review the security situation. The officers inspected different areas of the market and evaluated the existing security arrangements.

Officials directed the concerned staff to further strengthen security measures, noting that markets witness increased crowds during Eid days. The administration and police, they said, are taking comprehensive steps to ensure a peaceful and secure environment so citizens can carry out Eid shopping without fear.
