LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd Apr, 2026) The Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) in its 71th meeting of current fiscal year, here Thursday, approved 12 development schemes with cumulative estimated cost of Rs 31 billion.
Presided over by Planning and Development board Punjab (P&DB) Chairman Dr Naeem Rauf, meeting approved the following schemes:
Widening/Improvement of Road from Gujranwala Bypass (Awan Chowk) to M-2 Khanqah Dogran Interchange via Anjianwala Link, Nowshera Virkan, including Bypass Length: 66.00 km District: Gujranwala (Phase-I)
Cost: Rs. 1,952.500 million.
Construction of Dual Carriageway from Fateh Jang–Dhullian–Talagang Road to Khararal (Length: 4.10 km) district Attock with a cost of Rs. 2,246.291 million.
Widening of Kashmiri Bazaar (Revised) with a cost of Rs. 6,038.235 million.
Expansion of Critical Services (150 ICU Beds along with Ventilators and Essential Accessories) in Tertiary Care Hospitals in Punjab (Revised) Cost: Rs.
1,493.140 million.
PPIC-III Rawalpindi (Revised) Cost: Rs. 5,868.618 million.
PPIC-III Faisalabad (Revised) Cost: Rs. 4,837.183 million.
PPIC-III Gujranwala (Revised) Cost: Rs. 4,510.713 million.
PPIC-III Multan (Revised) Cost: Rs. 924.325 million.
PPIC-III Sargodha (Revised) Cost: Rs. 1,040.900 million.
Feasibility Seed Money for Establishment of Regional Railway Tracks in Punjab (PC-II) Cost: Rs. 1,396.800 million.
Feasibility Seed Money for Establishment of High-Speed Rail from Lahore to Rawalpindi (PC-II) Cost: Rs. 823.990 million.
Punjab Rural Sustainable Water Supply and Sanitation Project (Position Paper for Grant of Incentive Allowance).
The meeting was attended by Secretary P&D Rafaqat Ali, Chief Economist P&DB, Members P&DB and others concerned Officers of different departments.
