DC reviews health services; AACs inspect school, BHU, service delivery center

KOHAT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 29th Apr, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Kohat, Muhammad Nawaz, on Wednesday chaired the monthly steering committee meeting of the IMU Health Department to review healthcare services and monitor departmental performance across the district.

The meeting was attended by the Medical Superintendent of Liaquat Memorial Hospital and other health officials.

The District Monitoring Officer presented the monthly health report, while the deputy commissioner reviewed service delivery and overall health sector performance.

Appreciating the services of doctors, paramedics and supporting staff, the DC termed healthcare a noble profession and directed strict legal action against any staff member involved in malpractice or conduct damaging the reputation of the department.

He also praised officials who were performing their duties with dedication and honesty.

Meanwhile, on the directives of the DC, Additional Assistant Commissioner-II Aruba Iftikhar visited Government Higher Secondary school Muhammad Zai, where she inspected classrooms, cleanliness, teacher attendance and the overall academic environment.

She observed classroom teaching activities and said that quality education was the basic right of every child.

She directed the relevant authorities to ensure a clean and healthy environment in educational institutions and provide all basic facilities so students could grow into responsible citizens.

Later, she also inspected the Basic Health Unit (BHU) Muhammad Zai, reviewing emergency and general wards, medicine availability and sanitation arrangements. Staff were found present and treatment services were reported to be satisfactory.

Expressing satisfaction over cleanliness and medicine supply, she instructed that patients should be provided timely treatment, staff should remain available at all times and public dealing should be courteous to improve service delivery.

Meanwhile, Additional Assistant Commissioner (Revenue) Ibrahim Khan visited the Service Delivery Center (SDC) Lachi, where he checked records related to fard, mutation and other public services. He also interacted with visitors and reviewed the facilitation process.

He appreciated the Tehsildar for ensuring satisfactory service delivery and effective public facilitation at the center.
