No loadsheding during Eidul Azha holidays: PESCO

PESHAWAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th May, 2026) Peshawar Electricity Supply Company (PESCO) spokesman here Monday clarified that no loadsheding would be carried out in its region during holidays of Eidul Azha.

In a press statement here, the spokesman made it clear that electricity would be supplied continuously for 24 hours on all PESCO feeders during Eid holidays.

PESCO Chief Akhtar Hameed Khan has issued directives to ensure uninterrupted power supply for the two days of Eid.

The aim is to allow all consumers to celebrate Eid comfortably and perform sacrfice rituals in line with the sunnah of holy prophet Ibrahim (AS) peacefully.

He said the staff will remain on duty during Eid to ensure continuous electricity supply.

Additional transformers, electric wires, meters, and other equipment have been provided to the staff.

The public is requested not to tie sacrificial animals to electricity poles and were further advised to avoid unnecessary use of electricity so that power can be supplied to every household.

In case of any power outage or fault, consumers may call the PESCO helpline at 118 free of charge.
