New ‘You Are Here’ signs introduced at Grand Mosque to help pilgrims

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th May, 2026) General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque has upgraded “You Are Here” guidance signs inside Masjid al-Haram to help pilgrims and Umrah performers move more easily within the Grand Mosque during the Hajj 1447 AH season.

According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the updated signs are designed to help visitors quickly identify their locations and reach destinations inside the Grand Mosque with greater ease, especially during heavy crowd periods.

The report said the authority revised and updated the information displayed on the signs to reflect recent changes and improvements in facilities and services inside the mosque.

Authorities said the upgraded wayfinding system aims to improve crowd movement, reduce confusion and minimize congestion caused by visitors asking for directions.

SPA told APP that the new guidance signs form part of broader efforts to strengthen the spatial guidance system and improve the overall experience of pilgrims visiting the Grand Mosque.

The report added that the updated signs are helping visitors move more smoothly between different areas and facilities inside the mosque during peak Hajj crowds.
