MULTAN, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 3rd Jul, 2026) The Horticulture Agency Multan has decided to install permanent planters at Kutchery Chowk and Aziz Hotel Chowk as part of its ongoing city beautification and urban greening campaign.
The initiative is being carried out on the directions of Managing Director Horticulture Agency Multan, Syed Waseem Hassan, who said that shade trees and ornamental plants would be planted in permanent planters around the pillars of the flyovers to improve the city's landscape and promote a greener environment.
He said beautification and plantation work was also in progress at Chungi No. 14, Rashidabad Flyover and Chungi No. 9. Long-vacant spaces across the city would be transformed into green areas through the construction of permanent planters followed by plantation drives.
<?php /*?> <?php */?>The MD said a grand cleanliness operation had been completed at Aziz Hotel Chowk, after which beautification work was being undertaken. He added that the walls along Rashidabad Flyover were being painted under a public-private partnership, while painting work at the flyovers near Chungi No. 9 had reached the final stage.
Waseem further said that Chungi No. 14 was being restored and upgraded to enhance its appearance and reaffirmed the agency's commitment to continuing beautification and plantation initiatives across the city.
He said, greater participation from the private sector through public-private partnerships would further strengthen efforts to improve Multan's urban environment.
