ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th Jun, 2026) Several major development projects of the Ministry of Human Rights (MoHR) are nearing completion as part of the government's efforts to strengthen Pakistan’s human rights framework.

According to the Economic Survey 2025-26, ongoing projects scheduled for completion by June 2026 include the establishment of a Project Management Unit (PMU) in the Ministry of Human Rights, a Human Rights Awareness Programme, and the Human Rights Coordination and Monitoring Unit for the National Mechanism for Reporting and Follow-up.

These initiatives are aimed at enhancing institutional capacity, improving monitoring and reporting mechanisms, and strengthening Pakistan’s compliance with national and international human rights commitments.

Economic Survey noted that the government has also expanded digital services to improve public access to support mechanisms.

The survey further highlighted that several Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) projects were successfully completed in June 2025, including the Institutional Strengthening of MoHR project, the Human Rights Information Management System (HRIMS), the Pilot Project for the Establishment of a Transgender Protection Centre in Islamabad, and the establishment of a Human Rights Sub-Office in the merged districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
