Long-awaited Pattan grid station expansion project inaugurated in Lower Kohistan

KOHISTAN, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th Jun, 2026) The long-awaited expansion project of the Pattan Grid Station has been successfully completed and formally inaugurated by Deputy Commissioner Lower Kohistan, Zohaib Hayat.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by the District Police Officer Lower Kohistan, Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Lower Kohistan, members of the Pattan Reforms Committee, local elders, and a large number of prominent religious scholars.

The expansion of the long-awaited Pattan Grid Station was completed through the special interest, effective supervision, and continuous efforts of the Commissioner Hazara Division. The project is expected to significantly improve the electricity supply system in Lower Kohistan and adjoining areas, reduce load-shedding, and ensure uninterrupted power supply to consumers.

Officials said the initiative will not only strengthen the power infrastructure but also boost local economic activities and improve the overall living standards of the people.

Speaking to the media on the occasion, Deputy Commissioner Lower Kohistan said that the project marks a historic milestone in the development of Kohistan and reflects the government’s commitment to resolving public issues on a priority basis. He also paid tribute to the Commissioner Hazara Division for his dedication and consistent efforts in the timely completion of the project.

He added that the cooperation and patience of the local population played a vital role in the success of the project, and such public participation is essential for the completion of development initiatives.

At the end of the ceremony, local elders and members of the Pattan Reforms Committee expressed gratitude to the district administration and reiterated their commitment to continue supporting efforts aimed at the development and prosperity of the region.
