LODHRAN, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 5th May, 2026) The Livestock Department has distributed 100 poultry units among farmers in Lodhran district under the “Propagation of Backyard Poultry” program aimed at promoting kitchen poultry and addressing malnutrition.
Additional Director Livestock Dr Allah Bachaya said on Tuesday that each unit, comprising 12 cockerels was provided at a subsidized rate of Rs.3600 on a first-come, first-served basis.
He added that the birds were eight weeks old, weighing between 400 and 450 grams each.
