Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi Reviews FIA Headquarters, Orders Early Completion of Upgradation Projects

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 1st May, 2026) Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi paid an important visit to the FIA Headquarters on Friday, where he reviewed progress on the ongoing upgradation projects of the headquarters and the FIA academy.

During the visit, the minister inspected the construction and modernization work, directing that all activities be completed at the earliest while maintaining the highest quality standards.

Dr. Usman Anwar, Director General FIA, briefed the interior minister in detail about the upgradation project.

Later, Mohsin Naqvi chaired a meeting at the FIA Headquarters to review reforms aimed at making the FIA a more effective, efficient and public-friendly institution.

He emphasized that modernizing the FIA along contemporary lines by the end of the year is a top priority of the government.

“We are improving infrastructure, technology and human resources to strengthen the institution’s capacity,” Naqvi said, adding that merit and transparency must be ensured at all stages of new recruitments.

The Chief Commissioner Islamabad, the Islamabad Police chief and other senior officials were also present during the visit and briefing.
