Awareness rally held on International Labour day

MULTAN, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 1st May, 2026) Multan Waste Management Company (MWMC) organized an awareness rally to mark International Labour Day.

The rally was led by MWMC Chief Executive Officer Zulfiqar Ahmed, who was joined by a large number of participants, including representatives of civil society, the trader community, and citizens from walks of life.

Speaking on the occasion, CEO MWMC Zulfiqar Ahmed emphasized ensuring fair wages and safe working conditions.

He said that the welfare of workers was top priority under the Suthra Punjab Program.

He stated that they were gathered on the International Labour day to express solidarity with the heroes of Suthra Punjab.

Participants of the rally carried banners and placards to pay tribute to the labourers.

The participants also expressed appreciation for the labour-friendly policies introduced by Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif.
