Industries in Hyderabad SITE complain of acute water shortage

HYDERABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 26th Apr, 2026) Hyderabad SITE Association of Trade and Industry (HSATI) has warned that a lack of infrastructure facilities are endangering industrial production in Hyderabad's SITE area.

In a statement issued here on Sunday the association's Chairman Zubair Ghangra complained that water supply disruptions and continuous disinterest of the concerned departments in providing the required services to the SITE area were creating problems.

According to him, at least 25 industrial units and thousands of workers employed by those units had been facing a crisis due to non-availability of water.

Ghangra said the main water line supplied to the site area through Fateh Chowk had become closed, creating problems in the wake. He told that the association had also raised that issue with the Managing Director SITE Limited, Sindh Secretary Industries, Chief Engineer SITE, and other concerned authorities.
