Industrial development vital for economic stability: commissioner

MULTAN, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 14th May, 2026) Commissioner Multan Division Aamir Karim Khan said that industrial development was vital for economic stability.

He expressed these views during a visit to the Board of Management Industrial Estate office here on Thursday.

The commissioner reviewed ongoing development initiatives and discussed measures aimed at promoting industrial growth, infrastructure improvement and investment.

He stated that close coordination between government institutions and the business community could help transform Multan into a modern and model industrial city.

During the visit, the commissioner was briefed on various projects underway in the industrial estate.

The briefing covered development and beautification plans, plantation campaigns, road marking, sanitation arrangements, security measures, drainage system upgrades, establishment of a truck stand and the proposed sports complex project.

Officials informed the commissioner that the Board of Management was playing an active role in facilitating industrialists by improving infrastructure, encouraging investment, adopting environmentally friendly initiatives and ensuring the organized functioning of industrial activities in the estate.

The board further highlighted that several projects were being completed in collaboration with the private sector.
