MULTAN, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 14th May, 2026) A sports court constructed without approval on Bosan Road near Syedan Wala Bypass Chowk, close to Iqbal Street, was sealed during a large-scale enforcement operation conducted by the Multan Development Authority (MDA) against illegal constructions and encroachments.
According to official sources, in line with special directives of the authorities, the Enforcement Directorate launched a comprehensive operation against illegal buildings. The team sealed the sports court owned by Muhammad Shah Mir for violation of building regulations. Continuing the operation, unauthorized commercial constructions belonging to Abida and Kulsoom near Shalimar Colony on Bosan Road were also sealed.
In a separate action, an illegal commercial building owned by Rao Muhammad Nadeem on Ghous-ul-Azam Road was sealed for non-compliance with approved construction laws.
<?php /*?> <?php */?>The enforcement teams further retrieved public land reserved for a 30-foot street in Mouza Buah Pur, Iqbal Town, restoring the area for public access. On Khanewal Road in Farrukh Town, officials reclaimed a Water Works plot that had been illegally occupied.
Meanwhile, anti-encroachment operations were carried out at Khanewal Road, Khad Factory area, Bagh Hussain Chowk, Hasanabad and Chowk Kumharan, where illegal structures and roadside encroachments were removed to ensure smooth traffic movement and public convenience.
MDA authorities reiterated that operations against illegal constructions and encroachments will continue across the city without discrimination to uphold urban planning laws and safeguard public land.
