IHC grants protective bail to Sahel Adeem, directs him to approach relevant court

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th May, 2026) The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Tuesday granted protective bail to scholar Sahel Adeem and directed him to appear before the relevant court in Karachi where cases have been registered against him.

Justice Muhammad Azam Khan heard the case. Sahel Adeem appeared before the court along with his counsel.

The petitioner's lawyer submitted that a case has been registered in Karachi and there is a risk of arrest. He stated that his client wishes to approach the relevant court and requested the court to grant protective bail.

The court approved the protective bail against surety bonds of Rs. 20,000 and directed Sahel Adeem to appear before the relevant court.

Cases have been registered against Sahel Adeem in Karachi over alleged linguistic remarks against Sindhi-speaking people.
