HESCO lays foundation for new grid station in Nooriabad

HYDERABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th Jun, 2026) The Hyderabad Electric Supply Company (HESCO) laid the foundation stone for establishing another 132 KV grid station in Nooriabad, Jamshoro district, at a ceremony on Thursday.

Speaking on the occasion, the company's Chief Executive Officer, Faizullah Dahiri, who performed the stone laying ceremony, informed that they were going to spend Rs1.28 billion on the grid's construction.

According to him, the company itself would bear all the construction expenses.

"The new grid station would improve electricity supply in Nooriabad and adjoining areas," he assured. He said that 2 new power transformers of 40 MVA and 31.5 MVA would be installed in the new grid station, while a new 3.8-kilometer-long transmission line would also be laid.

Dahiri added that the new grid would reduce the burden from the old Nooriabad and Kalo Kahar grid stations in addition to addressing the low-voltage problem in the area.
