Google to integrate Gemini into Chrome on Android devices

Google announced that its AI chatbot Gemini will be integrated into the Chrome browser on Android devices from June, bringing desktop-like AI features and automated browsing tools to supported smartphones.

LONDON: (UrduPoint/UrduPoint / UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News-May-15, 2026) Google has announced that its AI chatbot Gemini will soon become part of the Chrome web browser on Android devices.

The announcement was made during the recent Android Show event. According to the company, Gemini integration in Chrome for Android will begin rolling out in June.

A dedicated Gemini button will appear in the browser’s top interface. When tapped, the AI chatbot will open in a panel at the bottom of the screen.

Google said the Android version of Chrome will offer many of the same features available on desktop computers, including image-generation tools, Google Calendar, Google Keep, and Gemini Intelligence features.

The company is also introducing a new “Auto Browse” feature, allowing Gemini to perform specific tasks automatically within the browser. However, this feature will only be available to Google AI Pro and AI Ultra subscribers.

Google confirmed that Gemini integration in Chrome will be supported on smartphones running Android 12 or later with at least 4GB of RAM.
