GILGIT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 5th May, 2026) The first anniversary of Marka-e-Haq (Operation Bunyan-ul-Marsoos) was commemorated across Gilgit-Baltistan with solemn and vibrant ceremonies held at both official and community levels.
The events were organized to pay tribute to the bravery and professionalism of the Pakistan armed forces and to honor the enduring sacrifices of the martyrs.
Across all districts of the region, the district administrations, educational institutions, political and social organizations, and civil society arranged rallies, seminars, and special programs. Central ceremonies were held at various martyrs’ memorials, where flag-hoisting, ceremonial salutes by security personnel, prayers for the departed souls, and wreath-laying took place.
Students, teachers, and people from different walks of life actively participated in these events. Students presented national songs, speeches, tableaux, and special performances highlighting the significance of Marka-e-Haq and promoting the spirit of patriotism.
Speakers on the occasion emphasized that Marka-e-Haq stands as a symbol of national defense, sovereignty, and dignity.
They noted that the people of Gilgit-Baltistan have always played a vital role in safeguarding the nation and continue to demonstrate unwavering solidarity for national security.
Tree plantation activities were also carried out at various locations as part of the commemorations, with officials and participants taking part.
