GCWUS organizes seminar

SIALKOT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd May, 2026) The Department of Sociology and Criminology at Government College Women University Sialkot (GCWUS)

organized a seminar titled “The Road to Justice” on Road Harassment, a release of the varsity

said on Saturday.

The seminar was conducted under the supervision of Prof Dr Yasir Nawaz Manj, Chairperson, Department of Sociology and Criminology and Dean, Faculty of Arts & Social Sciences.

In his remarks, he highlighted that road harassment is not merely a social issue but a challenge to human dignity, safety, and justice. He emphasized the need for collective social responsibility, awareness, and legal literacy to build a safer and more respectful society for women and all citizens.

The Traffic education Wing, District Sialkot also shared valuable guidance regarding road safety, responsible public behavior, legal protections, and preventive measures against harassment.
