Famous Restaurant chain's branch opened to promote tourism

MIRPUR (AJK) , (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point news - 11th May, 2026) A new branch of the restaurant chain “2nd Wife” has opened in Mirpur to promote tourism and a significant investment in the region’s hospitality and tourism sector.

Company officials said the outlet, inaugurated was the fourth branch of the chain after two restaurants in Mandi Bahauddin and one in Jhelum, in Pakistan’s Punjab province.

Speaking to media persons, Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Zaeem ur Rehman, Managing Director, Muhammad Khubaib Mirza and senior official Nazim ur Rehman said the restaurant aimed to offer a range of Pakistani and Kashmiri dishes throughout the day.

Mirza said work was also nearing completion on a conference and event hall with capacity for 500 people, equipped with a modern public address system.

He added that the project had created employment opportunities for more than 100 people, including skilled and unskilled workers, with most employees recruited from Mirpur and other parts of Azad Jammu and Kashmir.

Representatives of the Kashmir Press Club, led by its president Syed Abid Hussain Shah, attended the media briefing, alongside members of the local business community, including former AJK Chamber of Commerce and Industry president Faisal Manzoor Chaudhry.
